A Day for Quilts – An Outdoor Community Quilt Show  - June 2, 2020

The Quilting Party will “host” an outdoor and very impromptu

Quilt Show for the New River Valley on

Tuesday, June 2,

from 9 am – 7 pm.

What?!?!? I thought we were all to “stay at home”??  We still are - we can “Engage in outdoor activity, including exercise, provided individuals comply with social distancing requirements”.

How? Hang a quilt in your front window, drape a quilt over your porch rail, hang quilts on a line between two trees in your front yard and show everyone in the New River Valley that quilts exemplify love and caring for everyone! Whether you made the quilt, purchased it online or it is a family treasure, share the beauty of your quilt with the community.

Share this event with friends and neighbors on social media and invite them to show their quilts as well - this is a community event.

Hang the flier on your mailbox, share it with your neighborhood list serve, SPREAD THE WORD!

Print flier here...

This event will be advertised in The Roanoke Times calendar of events and in a news article.  Please share with your friends and neighbors.

Why? To show appreciation for all essential workers, health professionals, and everyone complying with Governor Northham’s temporary stay at home order.

Now gather up those sheltering in place with you and drive through the NRV to discover beautiful quilts!!
